A disgraced former sheriff starting over in a small town
She’s the instructor for a very aggressive new judo school program that has inexplicably found success at the local adult school. She’s brash, loud, cocksure, and (all-too-often) right. Fast and strong, she likes her entertainments fast too: fast women, uppers, fast bikes.
She’s kept her background pretty opaque to the local population mostly by dint of beating down anyone who asked questions. She’s a disgraced sheriff from a tiny town on the Illinois side of the border. She nearly murdered a meth dealer who shot her deputy. The dealer happened to be the nephew of a state senator, so it was Emily who took the brunt of that encounter, though that man’s windpipe will never be the same.
Most of her students never finished high school: some due to teen pregnancy, some to incarceration. She is at once fiercely demanding and fiercely protective. She has a thirst for justice.
Easy to anger, fiercely loyal.
